We are pleased that you are interested in becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Please take the time to review all the information concerning the Administrator In Training (AIT) Program. The AIT will get a "hands on" experience during this process. The very 1st step prior to applying to the Board is for the candidate to find an approved Preceptor willing to train them in the nursing home. Once the Preceptor has agreed to train the AIT then the candidate would need to complete the application process. All candidates must have a completed AIT Application Package in the Board Office 3 weeks prior to the next Board Meeting so that they could be eligible to appear before the Board for a personal interview along with their Preceptor prior to starting any of the AIT Program.
